Instituto Cervantes Albuquerque presents Contemporáneos en línea, an online showcase of recent work by young, independent Spanish filmmakers. The program brings together two feature films and two documentaries, demonstrating the creative coexistence of these genres in contemporary cinematography. It is presented in collaboration with the National Hispanic Cultural Center as part of the Bank of America Free Film Series.

The documentary Los demás días follows the work of Dr. Pablo Iglesias, a palliative care physician at the Madrid Health Service, who provides specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. We get to know him, the professionals who work closely with him, and his patients—sharing their doubts and convictions, their fears and illusions, as he tries to relieve their physical pain and accompany them on the delicate emotional journey that marks the end of their lives. 2017; directed by Carlos Agulló; Spanish with English subtitles; 95 minutes; rated PG-13.
