Reyna is a New Mexican treasure who is beloved throughout the Southwest and Mexico, and whose performances have influenced the trajectory of traditional mariachi music. He is joined on stage by his friends Mariachi Raíces de América from El Paso, TX, Trio América de Albuquerque, and Baile Ilusión from Pojoaque, NM. This year, in the spirit of the NHCC’s 20th Anniversary, we have invited back some of the artists that have contributed to the success of Happy Arte Hour over the years. Many of these artists were part of past exhibitions or have pieces of art in our permanent collection. Bosque Gallery at the NHCC 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, New MexicoThe Bosque Gallery at the NHCC Is an outdoor exhibition space opening on October 23. The open-air gallery will consist of 31 panels measuring 48 inches by 60 inches each, mounted on 730 feet of fencing along the western border of the NHCC campus, facing the Paseo del Bosque Trail. In celebration of the NHCC’s 20th anniversary, the first exhibition presented along the open-air Bosque Gallery will be ¡Mira! Nuestra Arquitectura: An Architectural Journey, an architectural history of NHCC’s past, present, and future. Exhibitions at Bosque Gallery will rotate among the key program areas of the (more...)

History and Literary Arts Building“¡Mira! Nuestra Arquitectura: An Architectural Journey” An architectural history of the NHCC, in celebration of our 20th anniversary. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the History and Literary Arts program presents “¡Mira! Nuestra Arquitectura: An Architectural Journey,” an architectural history of the Center’s past, present and future. This exhibit consists of text, sketch drawings, blueprints, maps, and photographs exploring Hispanic/Latinx culture and heritage as expressed through the buildings and landscape of the Center.
