Lautaro, a ten-year-old boy, lives in southern Mexico’s Tierra Caliente in the 1940s.  Sent to live with an aunt after his father’s murder, he runs away to return home. He is assisted during his long journey by people both living and dead in this picaresque period piece, blending poetic mysticism with historical realism. Directed by Odín Salazar Flores; presented in partnership with Instituto Cervantes and Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque.
