Join Dr. Joseph Sanchez author, historian and former Director of the Petroglyph National Monument as he presents six consecutive lectures on New Mexico History entitled “Historical Dialogues: New Mexicans and the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, 1598-1692.”

  3. Oñate’s Contracts, 1595 to 1598 and their implications for early New Mexico history
  4. Documentary Perspectives: The Battle of Acoma (1599) and the Jumano War (1599-1601)

Internationally recognized, Dr. Sanchez was awarded the Medalla de Acero al Merito Historico Capitan Alonso de Leon by the Sociedad Nuevoleonesa de Historia, Geografia y Estadistica, Monterrey, Mexico in 2000. In 2005 he was inducted into the prestigious knighthood order of the Orden de Isabel la Catolica by King Juan Carlos of Spain.
