¡Globalquerque!, Avokado Artists, and the NHCC present the International Cinema Series in September; films in this series are presented in partnership with ¡Globalquerque!, New Mexico’s Twelfth Annual Celebration of World Music and Culture, returning to the NHCC on September 23 & 24.

A young orphan girl who refuses to surrender her optimism despite difficult circumstances brings two unlikely strangers together in Stephane Gauger’s comedy drama. Supporting herself by selling flowers on the streets of Saigon, she meets a lonely zookeeper and a beautiful flight attendant, and decides that they would make a good couple, but soon discovers that matchmaking is a more challenging task than she realized.
