Folk icon Joan Baez celebrated her 75^th birthday in 2016, honoring her legendary 50-plus years in music with a career-spanning live performance at New York’s historic Beacon Theatre. Baez performed with fellow artists and friends including David Bromberg, David Crosby, Damien Rice, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Mavis Staples, Indigo Girls, Richard Thompson, Judy Collins, Nano Stern, and Paul Simon. The event was filmed as an episode of PBS’s Great Performances. Presented in partnership with New Mexico PBS as part of the Bank of America Free Thursday Film Series.
