Instituto Cervantes Albuquerque
The Instituto Cervantes is a worldwide non-profit organization created by the Spanish Government in 1991. It is the largest organization in the world concerned with the teaching of Spanish. The location at the National Hispanic Cultural Center is one of over 65 centers in over twenty different countries. The mission of the Instituto Cervantes is to promote the teaching, study and use of Spanish as a second language and to contribute to the advancement of the Spanish, Hispanic and Latin American cultures throughout the world.
Spanish Resource Center
An arm of both the Spanish Embassy and the University of New Mexico, the Spanish Resource Center supports Spanish teaching resources to the public. Located in the Pete V. Domenici Education Building at the NHCC, the Spanish Resource Center’s library offers a wealth of literature and materials about many aspects of Spanish life and culture.
