Paño Connections – Corazón Knows No Bounds

The Art Museum at the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is honored to host the exhibition Paño Connections organized by artist and guest curator Eric "Christo" Martinez.  On display in the Community Gallery, which is dedicated to showcasing art by New Mexican artists, this exhibit explores artworks inspired by paños (drawings on handkerchiefs) and other artworks created by incarcerated artists. Siempre Creativo: Intro to Retablos with Artist Sean Wells y Delgado (CANCELLED)

Note: This event has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. The second workshop, on 6/12, will be held as planned. We apologize for any inconvenience. 1:30 - 3:30 pm Discover the history and symbolism of retablo painting and create your own unique interpretation, using watercolors on wood prepared with traditional gesso. This is the first of two sessions with artist Sean Wells y Delgado, and participants are welcomed to attend one or both sessions.
