9:00 am Día de Salud, while focusing on overall health and well-being, also aims to celebrate and incorporate the influence of Hispanic culture and traditions. The event recognizes the unique health challenges and perspectives within the Hispanic community and seeks to provide culturally relevant information and resources. By infusing Hispanic influence into Día de Salud, the health fair can effectively reach and resonate with the Hispanic community, promoting a sense of cultural pride, awareness, and empowerment around health and well-being. 6:00 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center Foundation is hosting a Tequila Tasting Event on June 29th, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s Torreón. This includes tastings of five different tequilas, led by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits Director of Mixology Michael Trujillo and a five-course food pairing by Chef Marcus Montoya. 9:00 am Come early to check in Join RunFit and the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) Foundation for the 1st Annual Cinco de Mayo Run. Participants can choose from the 10K Run, 5K Run or Walk, or Kids K. After the run, stick around for free entertainment for the whole family.
