    10:00 am – 12:30 pm NHCC | Intel Classroom Ekphrastic poetry workshop led by Albuquerque Poet Laureate, Damien Flores. This event is part of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs' 2026 Ekphrastic Poetry Contest. The workshop is a chance for those submitting their poems to participate, hone their skills, and learn something new before the February submission deadline.   • Saturday Special- Torreón Tour: Mundos de Mestizaje

    11:00 am In addition to our regularly scheduled Thursday and Friday Torreón Tours, the National Hispanic Cultural Center now has a newly added Saturday Tour on the second Saturday of every month. This is a guided tour of the Mundos de Mestizaje fresco created by artist Frederico Vigil, located in the Torreón on the NHCC Campus, depicting thousands of years of Hispanic culture, history, and identity.
