Siembra: Solving for X: The Education Project, School Day Event

Chispa: Frank Leto Concert for Children

9:30 am & 11:00 am Award-winning composer and early-childhood educator Frank Leto has a calm and natural way with children. Aliento: CONTRA-TIEMPO, Agua Furiosa, School Day Event

10 am CONTRA-TIEMPO, a multilingual Los Angeles-based dance company founded in 2005, is dedicated to transforming the world through dance.  The company creates physically intense and politically astute performance work that moves audiences to imagine what is possible. Education Guide: Field Trip Opportunities

The National Hispanic Cultural Center offers a variety of field trip opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. We include home school, public, charter, private schools, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Senior Centers and other organizations. We offer local and international, culturally engaging theatre, music, dance, and art making experiences that provide a rich fieldtrip experience. John Donald Robb Musical Trust: The Annual John D. Robb, Jr. Concert ¡¡Música del Corazón!!

3 pm This concert honors the contributions of John Donald Robb, Sr., former dean of the University of New Mexico’s College of Fine Arts and a recognized music pioneer. “¡¡Música del Corazón:  A Celebration of Nuevomexicano Music!!,” features performances by musicians of all ages who are linked to the Robb legacy. ¡Vamos al Museo!

10:30 am to 12:30 pm The National Hispanic Cultural Center is pleased to offer children’s programming on the first Saturday morning of every month. This is a fun and engaging docent and artist-led family program.  Families (limited to 25 participants) get a 30-minute museum tour focused on an art form, source inspiration, artist or type of material.  Following the tour, the whole family can create their own artwork in the Pete V. Circo Radical Performance “La Vuelta”

6 pm & 8 pm This Friday, July 15th at 6pm or 8pm join the members of NHCC’s Summer Institute Circo Radical for a live circus arts performance, “La Vuelta”.  Circo Radical is the 4th program of our Summer Institutes and pairs advanced circus arts students with our team of professional circus artists and musicians.
