The New Mexico Music Hall of Fame award show is to recognize those who have made significant contributions to our state’s musical culture. The process of choosing these musical heroes begins each year with the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame Awards Committee asking New Mexico citizens to nominate artists and innovators who they thought should be so honored. The nominations were then judged by the Committee and this year seven nominees were chosen for recognition of their lifetime achievement.

Stefani Montiel, Roberto Griego, John Truitt, Tony Quiñones, Sugie Padilla, Eddie Garcia
Lifetime achievement award: Dick Bills

The New Mexico Music Hall of Fame award show is dedicated to them and is a chance for many of their fans and friends to give heartfelt thanks for all they have done for the musical arts of New Mexico.

The stories of each of our honorees are testimonies to lives well lived and the generosity of spirit. Their artistry and innovations continue to inspire and provide direction for so many. In that spirit, the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame and the producers have joined together to present this event, which benefits the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame Awards and the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame Museum.
