5th Annual South American Folk Fair

2 pm

The 5th Annual South American Folk Fair seeks to unite Albuquerque’s South American community in a day of cultural experience and connection through music, dance, and food. In addition to food vendors from participating countries, the festival will feature traditional dancers representing Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and/or Ecuador. The band Panchangara will be featured, along with local musicians. Added attractions for the entire family include children’s art workshops and opportunities for souvenir photos featuring the festival banner.
$14 in advance, $16 day of show w/ $2 discount for NHCC members; free for children age 12 and younger

¡Globalquerque!, New Mexico’s 15th Annual World Music & Culture Celebration, returns to the National Hispanic Cultural Center on September 20 and 21, 2019. This year’s festival features three stages of music from five continents over two nights. Relax in the intimate courtyard setting of the Fountain Stage, enjoy larger bands in the state-of-the-art 691-seat Journal Theatre, or dance to groove-heavy world music on the Plaza Mayor’s outdoor Festival Stage. The National Hispanic Cultural Center is located at 1701 Fourth Street SW in Albuquerque, New Mexico. General admission tickets can be purchased in advance from the National Hispanic Center box office, 505-724-4771, or the NHCC website, www.nhccnm.org.
